Huge congratulations to Anushka Bahorey from Mumbai, India, who has recently achieved a Gold, Global STEM Award at the Higher level.

Anushka is 17 years of age and completed a project based upon her recent work experience opportunity that she had within a pharmaceutical organisation, where she gained an insight into Research and Development and quality systems required within the industry. This was a really comprehensive and detailed project based upon her observations during her work experience evidencing a variety of skills that she developed both on her placement and within her project.

On claiming her Global STEM Award she commented: “Completing the Global STEM Award has been a genuinely valuable experience. It pushed me to reflect on my internship more critically, articulate what I observed, and connect it to real career pathways in STEM. This experience has given me greater clarity and confidence in the direction I want to pursue- a career at the intersection of science, research, and medicine. It has also shown me the importance of looking beyond the classroom and actively engaging with the industry from an early stage”
